When we think about the timeline for snow planning and what it takes to get ready, we think of the following:
If you want your snow removal plan set-up and dedicated equipment ready to go for the first snowfall, that means you need to sign the contract by mid-October.
If the contract needs to be signed by mid October, that means we need to give the contract a month to go through your administrative process. That puts us in mid-September.
Before the contract can even go through the administrative process, at least 3 bids need to be acquired and reviewed…that takes up to a month (or longer). Hello, mid-August!
Before we can prepare a bid, we need to meet with you, assess your needs, and walk the site. From the initial meeting to the time the bid is in your hands takes around 1-2 weeks. Keeping up…we are now at the beginning of August.
To schedule a meeting that works for both parties we need to look 1-2 weeks out….here we are today.
